IDPs Crisis Response in Pakistan

These are the refugees that have come to help clean up and prepared our camp for their families to move to Dadar. They are working hard to prepare the facilities at Dadar so that their families could move here. We are using the refugees as a worker so that most of the money spent can go to the people affected by this crisis. These men represent 25 families approximately 170 plus people.

Below is one of several water tanks we are installing. We had to run an water line about one half mile to this tank.

While in Islamabad we were able to have a relaxed, enjoyable meeting with Muhammad Yousif at his family residence. He has been instrumental in facilitating our acquiring the facilities in Dadar for our refugees camp.
Tasleem Khan called a high level meeting of all the involved government agencies to assists us in setting up our refugee camp at Dadar.

While we were waiting for permission we were distributing food, housing families in an already rented rooms by Waheed Alam for the Jabber Gali boys that needed the place to stay while going to school in Mansehra. We also gave out money to refugees we met on the streets and purchased formula for babies.

We are transporting the refugees into the rented rooms.
This is all the provision these five families had time to bring with them when the flied the fighting

Thank you so much for keeping us so well informed on what you are able to do to help the displaced families. The pictures help to see the gravity of the situation there, inspiring us to pray even more. We are so thankful for God's favor in providing a temporary home and employment for the men to prepare it for their families to move in. May His people here continue to respond with finances to help toward meeting the tremendous needs. We continue to pray for both of you and your team as you lead the work; for God's continued wisdom, for strength and good health. We hope W's family is well and that that his new son is regaining his health.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He make His face shine upon you, may He be gracious unto you, and give you peace.

  3. Dear Brother ... Thanks be to G-d for His Faithfulness in placing you and ORR there at this time. I am just getting caught up on some of the details there since I returned to the States.
Though the needs are certainly overwhelming, be encouraged that it is obvious from your text and pictures that our L-rd is doing His Mighty Work through you in the lives of many ... one precious soul at a time, right?
May His Peace and Protection fill you to overflowing so that His Purposes will be sought by all those divine appointments He places in your path.
May the Blood of His Sacrifice cover you (and the team)at all times. little Ken (well, at least, the younger one!)
I will try you call you again tonight ...

  4. Ken, I just received a copy of your last letter addressed to pastors & leaders. I will advise others of your need & see if they can help in any way. May the Lord protect you & Waheed as you minister in His name. I know the need is great but we have a mighty God.
    Regards.....Rich
